LITTLE COTTAGE, SOUTHERN HIGHLANDS
Situated in the NSW Southern Highlands, Little Cottage is a modern farmhouse that practices great restraint. The single-storey cottage with wraparound veranda uses minimalist and traditional materials in a contemporary way.
Internally, MAP preserved the uncluttered look and feel with the placement of wall lights that highlight the raked ceiling and create an easy ambience. Pendant lights were also hung over the kitchen bench from the otherwise uninterrupted ceilings.
The automated lighting system also seamlessly continued into the great outdoors where the surrounding landscape is highlighted with recessed lights set within the Rosewood decking and subtle lighting to effortlessly hero the statement palm and feature trees.
